Claude,
I just returned from picking up a couple of political science students who canvasing the Eugene neighborhoods to get the vote out. They were both from Portland (PSU and Reed) and they were both wanted Obama to win. I thought about your message concerning Independence in Uganda and I relate that to our situation here. The Ugandans certainly have much to be disappointed about, since their great expectations after becoming independent. Here we have had a political battle filled with negative ads, an economy whose purpose is to make some people rich, anunnecessary war in Iraq, and an election that will likely make some major changes in our country's future. I have some of the great expectations that the Ugandans had.
